I keep telling you about this adventure of traveling the Route of the 7 Lakes in a few days trying to take as many photos as possible to share them in this wonderful Community.

It is a wonderful journey that many people do in a single day since it is 100 km of road that actually takes an hour if we don't stop anywhere.

The real treasure hunt is there. In stopping after having done a few kilometers because you find a natural wonder that deserves to be admired and photographed.

In each detour, in each descent of the route, you find a good reason to stop and admire a splendid and pure landscape.

We did this trip as a family, without rushing, to be able to enjoy it intensely.

Today we are going for the third.

We resume the route on this third day of travel. To give you an idea of all the times that we have stopped to visit these beautiful places, consider that in the first two days we have traveled only 50 kms.

We still have another 50 kms to go.

Just one km from the previous lake, we arrive at Lake Escondido, which really has a very good name, ideal for sport fishing and observation.

After a kilometer we find a fork, we continue to the right, alternating gentle ascents and descents, until we come across a huge log bridge over a stream.

After a kilometer of an exhausting ascent, the descent to Lake Escondido appears, a small mirror of water with a beautiful beach and reeds that appear on the surface.

Continuing the trip we arrive at the Nivinco Waterfall that can be observed from close up by walking a path for two hours. It is also visible from the route.

To get to the waterfall, you have to wade through a stream of cold waters (it must be remembered that these waters come from the mountain melt), narrow and easy to cross.

As we walk we see ñire-type trees and colihue reeds that make a kind of boulevard on both sides of the path.

Sometimes to break through you have to use the machete.

You only hear the sound of the forest and the birds and little by little the noise of the water from the waterfall that is gaining intensity as we get closer.

We stop to rest and spend the night after the hike at the campsite before reaching the Correntoso Lake, our next stage.

Crossposting.
