In this series of post I am traveling virtually with you (I already did it with my motorcycle in 2015) the entire Route 40 from north to south. The mythical route 40, one of the most famous in the world.
And after having finished each stage, I let the bike rest, I check that everything goes well with the engine and I take the opportunity to visit some places (often on foot) that correspond to that stage.
I have crossed and visited places that only the imagination can conceive of how beautiful they are.
In this post I told you briefly about the Route of the Seven Lakes that you should know when traveling the stage.
As I passed the lakes I would stop, take some photos and continue my journey.
Today I want to talk to you about the first of those lakes: Mirror Lake.
En esta serie de posts estoy recorriendeo virtualmente con Uds. (ya lo hice con mi moto en el 2015) toda la Ruta 40 de norte a sur. La mítica ruta 40, una de las más famosas del mundo.
Y después de haber finalizado cada etapa, dejo descansar la moto, controlo que todo vaya bien el motor y aprovecho para visitar alguno sitios (muchas veces a pie) que corresponden a esa etapa.
He atravesado y visitado lugares que solo la imaginación puede concebir de lo hermosos que son.
En este post les hablé someramente de la Ruta de los Siete Lagos que conocer al recorrer la etapa.
A medida que iba pasando los lagos me detenía, saba algunas fotos y seguía viaje.
Hoy les quiero hablar del primero de esos lagos: el Lago Espejo.
It is the first of the Seven Lakes on the north-south route on Route 40.
It owes its name to the fact that its waters are so crystal clear that, on clear days, they reflect the color of the sky.
Like all these lakes, it has a barbecue area (only for daytime use) and a grocery store.
It is one of the closest and most visited by tourists in the summer due to the warmth of its waters, a phenomenon not very usual in this foothills.
The slopes of the lake are populated by a large forest of colihues that are also reflected in the lake as well as the mountains that surround it
Es el primero de los Siete Lagos en la ruta de norte a sur en la Ruta 40.
Debe su nombre al hecho de que sus aguas son tan cristalinas que, en dias limpidos, reflejan el color del cielo.
Como todos estos lagos cuenta con área de Parrillas (solo de uso diurno) y proveeduría.
Es uno de los más cercanos y visitados por los turistas en el verano debido a la calidez de sus aguas un fenómeno no demasiado usual en esta zona precordillerana.
Las laderas del lago están poblados por un nutrido bosque de colihues que también se reflejan en el lago como asimismo las montañas que lo circundan.
I rented a rubber boat and with the help of a guide I toured the lake.
Alquilé un bote de goma y con la ayuda de un guía recorrí el lago.
