I think I'm in the right place to talk. This is not because the university is 150 years old; This is because today's young people will lead us in the days ahead.
A few weeks ago I went to my own country Korea. There I went to my childhood school. When I went to school, I remembered one of my favorite teachers. He was our head teacher at that time. He always used to say, ‘Hold your head high above the realm of clouds in the distant sky, but keep your feet on the ground.’ I want to say this to you too. You young generation must dream a lot, to do something new, to give something new to the world, but whatever you think, the way to make it successful must be realistic. Think big all the time, dream of spreading borders beyond traditional dreams. I urge you, especially young students, to always be outspoken, courageous and fearless. Think big, your future is in your hands. Use your free will to surpass yourself হওয়ার to be something bigger than yourself and it is possible.
Today I will tell you the story of my own life. Let me tell you where I came from at this stage. I was born and raised in Korea. I grew up in poverty and war. The UN saved my war-torn country and the helpless people of my country. At that time, many Australians also supported my country through the United Nations. I am grateful to them. If it weren't for that, I probably wouldn't be here today.
