I have always held the belief that humans experience life as though they are eternal entities. We tend to postpone even some significant chores and ambitions because we believe that time is endless. I suppose one of the main reasons is because we don't know for sure when we'll pass away.
However, I want to focus on this piece on how people also have a tendency to believe that we don't have enough time. After all, how complicated are we? I suppose what makes everything so lovely is the duality?
In any case, we want to come across as "busy" people. even if we're not in reality. In actuality, we deceive ourselves into thinking that we just don't have enough time for some things.
Consequently, you will always have the ideal justification for not finishing that book you've been meaning to read or picking up that instrument you've been wanting to play for ages! There's simply not enough time. You may accomplish far more than you believe and you actually do have more time than you realize!
Make Use of Time Gaps
Time gaps aren't only secret realms where time doesn't exist and you can use to make up lost ground. Though it's not real, I wish it were. That is, as far as I'm aware, anyway!
In any case, I read a book years ago that discussed the idea of "time gaps". Essentially, the concept is that there are numerous periods of time during the day when we are genuinely not doing anything at all. There is more that can be done with these gaps.
For example, you can read a book or listen to a podcast during the time you spend taking a cab to work or somewhere else. You can use it for something else if you're waiting on someone at a restaurant or anywhere else. It's possible to make productive use of the time you spend standing in an elevator.
The idea is that you should be aware of any time gaps you could have and make good use of them to finish the things you've been putting off because you can't fit them into your daily schedule. By doing this, you'll be able to maximize your time and accomplish more than you ever would have imagined!
