Normally we all feel that our thinking is the right way of thinking and that what we think is always right. From moment to moment our thought process keeps changing based on our environment. How we think also dictates our actions and our behavior. But yet we never associate the results of our action to our thoughts. Whenever we fail in something we associate that outcome with bad luck or any other thing but we seldomly link it with our thoughts. We think so much and still when the result is there we do not link it with our thoughts.
Sometimes our mind gets so jumbled up with our emotions, thoughts with internal and external influences, judgements, information and all of this hampers our ability to make the right decisions in life. Basically these are all the issues of our traditional way of thinking where from childhood we are conditioned in it.
If we start to think with an approach to resolve our problems then we will have a better approach. Have you heard of the Six Thinking Hats. It's a world renowned philosophy where you wear imaginary hats to counter any situation of life. Each hat has a certain approach to thinking and when you change hats to counter one problem your take a broader approach to dealing with any issues. This approach basically breaks down your thinking pattern and allows you to stay disconnected from any emotions, judgements, criticism or unnecessary passed on information. It will slow down the brain activity and allow to do one thing at a time. Slowing down our brain activity is very good to counter any problem because it will allow new possibilities to flow into our mind.
This type of approach is very methodical, it will allow us to assess risk and benefits and it will keep all those unnecessary feelings and emotions away.
