This is one of my favorite subjects, but it's one that very few people want to hear about from me! Our best chances of living a long and healthy life are to stay away from western medicine doctors, especially dentists. Their care ruins both our teeth and our general health.
I refused a root canal a good 40 years ago, and that tooth has never caused me a problem. I still have all my teeth including wisdom teeth, two of which have come in without any problems at all. I no longer worry about cavities, but I get busy if I feel pain.
I find oil pulls very effective at healing cavities and eliminating dental infections. I do them for a few days at the first sign of pain, and that's it. I put a bit of clove oil in to stop any pain right away. Gonna try this brushing with soap, thanks for the info.
As for your friend ex dentist, it is very difficult for the medically trained to let any other information in. Thank you for trying to do it. My kids went to the dentist in third grade and in eighth grade, because dental visits were required to go to school, and the school would do it if I didn't. At least if I took them I could refuse xrays, cleanings, and flouride treatments. They all three, and myself, never have dental problems. One of my now adult children went to a dentist recently (against my wishes) who told her she must have excellent hygiene because her teeth are so good. Her teeth are good because of very sparse dental interference with them.
JUST DON'T GO TO DENTISTS! Find another way. There are many.
BTW, I eat anything, but try to go with organic, or better yet raised or grown locally on small family farms.
Nice! I figured there would be a few of us here on Blurt who get this one already ;)
Great work refusing the root canal 40 years ago and teaching your children how to look after their own teeth.
Yes, I think we can all feel instinctively that dentists are bad news but we generally feel helpless without them. And in pain! Thankfully that feeling is gone now, so I'm looking forward to repairing the mess they have made with a renewed focus on this particular mission :)
I am like you in the respect that I will eat anything. I tend to stick to mostly raw vegan but for sure I also listen to my body and eat meat when I feel like it. And for sure it is best if that meat is local or organic. I think the main difference these days is my garden grown juices & salads which are always super fresh & nutrient packed and aside from my teeth everything feels great! So, now that I have changed my brushing habits let's see if the teeth start to repair...
They will. And everything else in your body, when the mouth is no longer being traumatized by a sadistic dentist. Good luck!
