Time travel is a subject that always fascinates me a lot, but how good it would be if we really had this at our free will. In the first place why do we want to do time travel. Is it because we want to go back in the past and change a few things of the past? That only we would want if our present is not at all good. But will be really able to go back in time and change it. Time travel into the future we see it in movies, especially the ones where they show about saving of humanity. But the very fact that they have been able to go in future in human form and work on it somewhere proves that humanity will keep existing in future. If humanity would have been completely wiped off in future, then time travel for humans in future would also not be possible.
In physics time is considered to be linear, where it is logically said that there is a start and end, but some theories also say that time is neither linear nor circular. It is we who keep moving and that defines the movement of time also. If we observe our time without our clocks, then we will see that in certain moments we feel that the time has quickly moved on and in certain moments we feel that we are stuck in time. The concept of time is completely different outside our planet Earth. In the space time travels at a different speed. In one Country it will be 8 a.m. and in another at the same time 8 p.m.
Time travel is definitely possible and that's how Nasa telescopes have also been able to look at the cosmos and understand how far or near they are in time from Planet Earth. For the light to reach us from it's source it takes some time, so when these telescopes look at the planets and stars they are able to calculate the speed of light and from that the time is derived as to how many light years or light hours would it take to reach to that particular star or planet. For us we define the passing of time at a rate of 1 second, but this one second can differ in many ways. There are many Airplanes experiments which are conducted to prove that this 1 second time calculation can also change.
The Planet Kepler which has been discovered, is the first nearest Earth like planet, and it is also possible that life can exist there. But this planet is 1400 light years away from our planet Earth, which will take 26 million years to reach there with our existing fastest probe that we have. 26 million years in past means from where probably life on Earth began, we would go that back in time. It is also possible that the life on our Planet Earth came from some other Planet through time travel, when life on that planet got exhausted. Interesting, isn't it?
Personally for me if there was something like a Time Travel in my own timeline, then I would not want to go in any time, nor past nor future, because it is the result of all the past events that what I am today and as far as the future is concerned, I will like the events to unfold at it's right time, else I will be missing on all the in-between experiences of my life. But, at the same time if there was time travel possible for me to go into the space on some other Planet then I would be very willing for that.
