Scientists brought forward the image of how Bangladesh and India look like from space. The European Space Agency has recently shown this image from space. Aerial photographs show that this part of eastern India is largely green. Along with that, the light line of the river also peeked in the picture.
Kolkata is located at the very center of the image taken from space. Spread over an area of 206 square kilometers, this city is just a gray print in the picture. The course of the Hooghly River, which runs right next to it, is also captured by a white line.
The image of Bangladesh on the right side of Kolkata has also been captured by scientists' cameras. It has been seen that most parts of Bangladesh are green. Also, there are different types of blue inks in the picture. There are many rivers and reservoirs in that area. Kheri color tint is also seen in the picture. Vast areas of cultivation are caught in that color.
The Sundarbans is also seen in one corner of the picture. In a statement published with the photo, the European Space Agency wrote, 'This well-preserved forest has been named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is the home of the Bengal Tiger. There are huge mangrove forests here.
This image of Kolkata and Bangladesh was taken by the European Space Agency's Copernicus Sentinel 2 mission. This mission takes pictures of different parts of the world. The satellites under this mission take pictures of exactly how the shape of the Earth looks from space, how much it changes over time.inews.zoombangla.come
