Hi Everyone,
We hope you are all enjoying the changes on https://blurt.one frontend. We also got some feedback from different users, who are all happy.

Seeing this, we also plan to make some more changes

Pinning with Discord

Initially, we used the Gitlab list to populate pinned posts on the front end including sponsored, featured, and notices. But now @tekraze has developed and integrated a Database with a discord bot for the management of pinning data.
Before this, in case of GitLab failure, the front end was not accessible, but no more.

You can mention it on any posts of @blurt.one or @tekraze to let us know if something needs to be pinned. We will verify and check the content, then we will pin it. Because we are doing it free for now, we will have to be strict about what we pin.

You can donate blurt to accounts @tekraze or @blurt.one as you may wish to support.

Contests

We also have a dedicated area for contests, which we enable again and will use it to list different contests on Blurt. Anyone can message the same way as pinned posts. Pinning contests will always be free for the contest.

Image upload

As we all know, Image upload is managed by the Official team with a paid plan, we are using that same endpoint. So, we don't have direct access to that, and in case of downtime, we cant make it work.

So, to avoid that situation, we propose some solutions.

• Uploading image on Hive/Steem and then using URL
• Uploading on Image Hosting sites

1. PostImages

We personally love this as it is a great solution for image hosting.

• You can upload images in Bulk
• With sign up, so you can access or delete images
• Free account available(with advertisement) that is enough for most of the time
• different embed solution

2. HackMD

It is not just an image upload solution, but a complete solution for content creation. We actually recommend using this for managing drafts and images. As HackMD is available on all platforms, it is easier to write content, and upload images.

One can write a post here like he would do directly on Blurt and with images. Once the post is done, the whole content can be copied to post later in Blurt.

The images uploaded from HackMD are always available.

We have not checked all solutions as some are geo-restricted for sign up, but most of the public image hosting works fine.
