In the first quarter of this year, Chinese technology company Huawei has risen to the second position in the global market of smartwatches with a record annual growth of 116 percent.
Huawei marketed a total of 2.7 million smartwatches in the first quarter, accounting for 15.2 percent of the global smartwatch market.
This information was confirmed in a notification sent from Huawei Central from a statistic recently published by the International Data Corporation (IDC).
In the smartwatch market, Huawei has set a record of 169 lakh smartwatch market with a decline of 7.1 percent year on year.
According to IDC, after Huawei, Samsung is in the third position with 1.8 million shipments and Apple Watch is in the first position as always. Apple's total shipments amounted to 4.5 million and it was able to capture 27.6 percent of the market with a growth of 2.2 percent.

Huawei has also done well in the market for wearable technology products around the world. In the first quarter of the year, Huawei marketed a total of 61 lakh wearable technology products. According to IDC, shipments of Huawei's wearable technology products grew 29.7 percent year-on-year, reaching 72.8 million units at the end of the quarter.
