here we came across a monument erected in honor of communists who fought against Hitler's supporters in Serbia. The monument reads: "At this place on 19/71943. Parts of the Kosmaj Partisan Detachment attacked and killed Ljotić's volunteers. In this fight, Partisan Company Commander Ljubom Jovanovic Luna was killed" on 7/7/1962.
The first destination was the "Customs" suburb
It all started as a beautiful day for cycling, my friends and I started the ride.
We headed to the Smederevo ironworks. A few miles from the ironworks we saw a blast furnace and thick smoke.
a few kilometers after the ironworks we came across a city dump.
the mountains of rubbish are 15 meters high and with its appearance on the part of the city and the fortress of Smederevo (I have a post about the fort on my blog).
