World Teachers' Day is held annually on 5th day of October to celebrate all teachers around the globe. It is a day to celebrate how teachers are transforming education but also to reflect on the support they need to fully deploy their talent and vocation, and to rethink the way ahead for the profession globally.
Being a teacher provides the unique opportunity to make a transformative and lasting impact on the lives of others, contributing to shaping sustainable futures and offering personal fulfillment.
One way of giving thanks and appreciation to teachers on their hard work and dedication is the gift giving from pupils and parents. They are very much thankful for the learnings they got from the teacher. Not only for the lessons but also for the good values, love and care they got from their teacher.
This was done a day before teacher's day because on the following day we don't have face to face classes so teachers could celebrate their day
On the day of celebration, we had a program for teachers headed by School PTA officers and student supreme council. They gave each teacher a token as their way of thanking ang giving importance to teachers. On that also was the giving of GANTI Awards for teacher who reaches 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35 years in rendering their service as a public school teacher.
