Grow your own ,Ceylon Tea

It's @besticofinder here. Today I got a opportunity to have a morning walk and took some photo's to share with you guys. My father is a tea planter and we got a little tea state which I got a chance to visit today. I think all of you should have heard the brand name "Ceylon Tea" , the worlds finest tea. The truth is the world knows about sri lanka , because of the tea production. We got 150 years plus tea history for sri lanka which was initiated when ceylon was a part of British Emperor.

You must taste a tea with lion logo , we proudly make them in our states. One interesting fact is.. lion logo can be only used for tea 100% produced in sri lanka and should be packed in sri lanka. Even for 100% Ceylon tea packed in a another country can't use lion logo. It's the quality sri lanka maintained for 150 years.

Generally in down south tea states in sri lanka. Planters grow some other types of plants with tea. Most of the time they select black pepper or coconut. But recently I have seen some grow Agarwood with tea. The most important factor for tea is proper sunlight. So planters take care to remove all the other unnecessary trees from the tea states.

We grow tea and send fresh leaves to the tea factories. So normally 1kg of tea leaves values around 100 - 115 LKR ( around 4 Steem ). So the planter can receive money or processed tea if he need. Normally a processed tea 1 kg with average quality cost around 400 LKR ( around 16 Steem). But when the quality increases the price increases. There are very expensive tea types such as silver tips , white tea , handrolled tea etc
