Tajuddin Ahmad, a notable chief and government official from Bangladesh who lived from 1925 to 1975, is generally associated with filling in as the nation's most memorable state leader. Tajuddin Ahmad was born on July 23, 1925, in the village of Dardaria in Kapasia, Gazipur, which was then a part of British India. He was involved in politics at a young age. After joining the All India Muslim Students Federation, he went on to join the Awami League, a political group that supports the rights of Bengalis. He was close to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the architect of Bangladesh's independence campaign and the head of the Awami League.

Tajuddin Ahmad was named State leader of the Bangladeshi Temporary Government (Mujib) during the Freedom Battle of 1971.
