Villages are nestled on the edges of the Imperial Pond. One of the most beautiful and picturesque villages is called Belo Blato (White Mud). Considering that many Slovaks and Hungarians live in this part of Serbia, this village is no exception. It is common that all villages have multilanguage names, so this village is named Lízika in Slovakia and Nagyerzsébetlak in Hungarian. The origin of the name come from the fact that the place is surrounded on all sides by lakes, swamps and ponds. It was created in the 19th century on a piece of dried earth, which had a characteristic white color after drying.

Belo Blato adorns two beautiful churches, roads characteristic of this part of Vojvodina - Banat. But what I think adorns it the most is one of the most beautiful tree lines in Serbia and beyond. The main street of the village passes through a beautiful alley of Siberian elm. Well maintained, traditionally in white colored, trees is simply enchanting. The street is adorned with many works of art, traditional agricultural tools, painted walls and traditional house facades. The locals produce home-made sausages, which are a widely known specialty.
