Superstitious Beliefs

in superstition •  2 years ago

We have heard of these stories like we should not cut nails at night it brings bad luck, or if a black cat crosses our way it's a bad omen. Also that if we start some new work on a Saturday then that would be forever delayed. Specially in Indian homes this is a lot, we have some very unique superstitious beliefs. Personally I get self time only towards late evening after I finish all my work and that's the time when I cut my nails, and it has been years of doing that, I am still thinking what is the bad luck it's bringing to me. 13th is considered to be a evil number. My Son was born on 13th and I feel he is the best thing happened in my life. He is spiritual and an awakened soul.

There is a big market for this, on the name of superstitious beliefs people sell you all sorts of things. A lady I know sells incense and powders and perfumes as casting spells to ward off any evil eye. I do not completely disagree on the Evil eye part, yes we do get impacted with other people's negative energy, but then there are no things to cut them out. You can only cut them with your own intentions and energy. A lady once commented on one of our WhatsApp groups, that she started using a particular money incense and now her money flow is very good. The thing is it is not the incense that has made the money flow better, it is the intention set and then making affirmations and manifesting on the financial power, that attracts the right energy into the life and make things better.

Superstitious beliefs make us feel stuck, they are like blocks. They are passed on to us from generations, with no logic to understand in the present times. When they were made there was some science behind it but now that science is lost.
Just for e.g. cutting nails at night was forbidden in the olden times when there was no electricity and the thought was that if you would do that then you may harm yourself in the dark. But that has been twisted in a whole new line along the way.

A cousin of my always follows a weekly horoscope for herself and during times when not very good things are mentioned in the horoscope she panics and believes that good things will not happen to her in that time. Astrology is for real, but one common weekly horoscope for the entire sign is not something to be followed upon. That horoscope just mentions about the possibilities with the planetary positions, but your own horoscope not necessary is going t be the same. And once you have fear and doubts set in your mind then you are further going to attract that in your life, messing up things for you.

Good or bad things happen in our life is all about energy, what we attract and the pay back of our karma. We should stop associating it with things around us, they are just excuses to put the blame on something else and not take responsibility of one's own action. Using incense, sage clearing, all these are good ways to keep the energy clear around us but if we keep doing wrong things then these things are not going to correct them out. We will have the cause and effect of what we do, think and speak.
