Today I will keep it very short and simple with just one picture post. I have been under the weather since the last 2 days and trying to rest up as much as possible. I thought of giving it a miss today but then felt like putting up something.
This is a beautiful Sunset in the Mountains, my favorite place. It was some time back, the weather is always 15 degrees less up in the mountain compared to the city. So I prefer going in summer time, because then that's a good break from the scorching heat of 50 degrees in the city. But there are times when we also do winter expeditions. It has it's own fun, because then we can do bonfire and barbeque in the lawn.

There are somethings which I follow very strictly. I do not indulge in any type of junk food, which is Pizza, Burgers, Fries, Pastries, Sweets and all. So no KFC, Mac D, Dominos and all for me. No aerated drinks or any types of pack juices. No ready to cook food stuff ever comes in my kitchen.
I am very fond of sweets, so once in a month I have little of any sweet.
My diet is all home cooked fresh food, which is a mix of vegetables on non veg, with salads.
2 cups of home made herbal tea daily which includes ginger, mint, cinnamon, cloves and tulsi leaves.
I am fond of eating out, but I am mindful of what I eat, so I go in mostly for grilled foods outside which are freshly prepared.
A minimum of 1 hour of exercise which is Yoga and walking.
Spend time in nature whenever possible
Get 8 hours of sleep at night
Meditation
I like to read, and I read a lot of motivational books which keeps my mind healthy.
One weakness I have which is drinking, but I make it a point to drink once a month only.
I do my blood test every once in 6 months and then based on the results take necessary vitamin supplements.
I only have 2 meals a day, Lunch and dinner and no in-between binging.
All of this I guess has been working best for me.
It does take an effort but when you see the result on yourself you find it worth taking the effort. I have been doing all of this for many years, right from my 30s and I am glad that the results are being seen now when I have reached my 50s. It is along term effort and no overnight fix. It requires discipline and strong willpower also. But when you understand what is not good for you then automatically you keep away from it.
