It was my dad that got me into doing that back when I was 21 or whenever I got my first car, always said it was pointless buying one especially as a freelancer as it's a taxable expense. Cars literally drop by half when they drive off the forecourt. My friend has a super car and that has hella depreciated and every new tyre is like `£400 I guess she loves it though but I have a very basic small car.
