Stretching, something I have ignored for much of my life. Sitting down for a number of hours a day has definitely taken its toll on my body. No amount of running or weightlifting will remedy some of the issues that persist when the body lacks mobility.
Mobility, that's an important part of biomechanics and I have been spending time on various mobility and stretching routines. And let me say this, they absolutely make a difference. From fixing posture to better athletic performance. Daily stretching that includes both active and passive stretching makes a world of difference.
Breathing is a big part of stretching too, adding oxygen to the body will help to achieve deeper stretches and also minimises injury. I can see why yoga, pilates and similar are widely used.
