The word count for my fantasy novella has reached approximately 17,500 words. Today, I added new content, though most of my time was spent enhancing the pacing and adding detail to sections I had previously written.
I took some time to clarify a few details and tidy up the dialogue, which led to even more ideas piling up. At this point in the story, I’m confident I’m getting close to finishing. There are only about three sections left to write. I already know how the story ends; now it's about finding the best way to deliver those final moments.
I'm still sticking to my self-imposed schedule and aiming to complete the book by the end of January. Given how few words are left, that goal seems well within reach—it's only a few thousand words, what could go wrong?
I’ll check back in with more updates soon!
