Deleting old photos

in storage •  2 years ago

I use a very basic phone, RedMi 7 Pro and I have been using it since December of 2019.

It is still fast and the camera works well. The screen has a few breaks but it works perfectly fine.

But I always have one issue and it has been troubling me since the last two years or so. I have 64 GB storage and it gets full every other day.

I keep deleting my pictures and apps and it keeps getting full.

So, today I took some time to remove any photos that I don't need. It took me an hour or so and I was able to delete 4.25 GB of photos.

Now my phone feels faster and light

You can check out the phone now. It used to be ₹15,000 when I bought it and now it costs just around ₹5,000.

It took me a long time to remove all the photos that were too bad or if there were multiples of the same shot.

I usually take a lot of photos of plants and photos of the work we do. It takes up a lot of space and my phone gets out of storage.

I won't be buying a new phone until the end of 2023 or early 2024 and when I buy a new one I'll make sure it has at least 1 TB of storage.

I don't buy a lot of stuff until the one I have doesn't stop working. Eack phone that I have used since early 2008 lasted for at least 3-4 years.

I used to have a Nokia 3315 not the legendary Nokia 3310. It was similar in design and it was as tough as the 3310. It lasted for around 5 years I think m i do have it somewhere but the battery was dead and I couldn't get it repaired.
