Hi Friends,
The stock of General Motors shot up today:
The reason is a new partnership was announced with Microsoft to continue developing self driving technology. Personally, I feel full self driving is not coming any time soon and is a costly undertaking, however, if there are two companies to come together to make it happen, these two giants with the teams, resources and technology are the ones to do it.
I do like GM as an investment (Ford also), though they do not get nearly the headlines/free PR that Tesla does. Consumer preferences are ever changing and Tesla can certainly be credited for their innovation and pushing the electric car market to new levels of adoption, but, as a strict investment opportunity, I can't get behind Tesla's valuation and like where GM and Ford are positioned to gain large shares of the electric car market, even if their past products have not put them near the top of the leaderboard in the past - that is only my preference though.
How about the new 2021 Bronco that just came out - pretty cool! I am curious to see what the final Tesla Cybertruck will look like. I was at the LA Auto Show in Dec 2019 and really liked the Bollinger Motors B-2 Model Truck (electric, all terrain, all wheel drive) - it was a pretty sweet concept truck:

Thanks for coming by today!
