Recently we visited the center of Sri Lanka. We were surprised to find out that's so cold there. That's because the place is so high. We've been personally in a place that's over 7000 ft. high.
We loved it there, but the issue that's a touristic place where prices for foreigners are high. Our goal was to know if we can live there or not.
For example the only park we found there costs $2 per adult to enter it.
But we enjoyed the trip anyway.

Avoid the tourist traps; you wouldn't need them anyway if you lived there.
I've never paid to go into our own local "national park"; funnily, drive round the other side and there's a free entrance. lmao.
