In last night, there was an important match for Barcelona against Portuguese club Benfica. It was very important for them because the UCL tournament of this season depended mostly on this match. But they failed to win this match in their home ground. And now they are in danger to pass the group stage of UCL this time. Though they have chance to pass this stage yet, this chance is very hard for them to characterise.
It was the first match for Xavi in UCL as a manager. His debut in Barcelona as manager has already been finished against Espanyol in La Liga, he was able to win that game by a penalty goal. But this time he failed. But it is sure that they have played well. But that drawn is not enough for them. They have only one game in hand against Bayern Muchen. On the other hand Benfica also have one game in hand against Dynamo Kyiv. If Benfica loss or draw their last match against Kyiv, Barcelona will directly go to next round, it will not affect whether Barcelona lose or win against Bayern, and Benfica will be eliminated. But if Benfica win their last game, Barcelona must win the game against Bayern in Aliange Arena to go to next round. Which may be quite impossible right now for Barcelona considering their current form against Bayern.
