Splinterlands Battles
We can’t speak about Splinterlands without the battles that rage over there. And speaking of battles, some of the battles do not stop baffling us despite being an ardent visitor to the lands.
Today, we look at one such battle that has the opponent refusing to fight my team. 😊 But before that, shall we spend a minute getting to know Splinterlands? After all, that’s where you will find all these fun battles, rules, and monsters.
What Game is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands is a digital card game that allows you to collect, trade, battle, rent, and even earn from the cards. It was founded in 2018 and is still going strong. The game gives Play to Earn a whole different meaning. By now, you would know that the governance token (SPS) airdrop made millionaires out of the early adopters. It still keeps giving and remains a fun and engaging game.
To give you an idea of how lucky you can get in Splinterlands, read my story of getting cards worth $500 from buying only a few packs worth $20.
Got Cards Worth $500 from $20 Packs
And this is just a tiny number. I have witnessed people getting uber-expensive cards in their pack and selling them for as high as $6500. There is a whole Splinterlands marketplace on the Hive blockchain and now on Wax too. And now the sales of the Rebellion packs, the newest of the lot, have also started.

Regular Battle | With An Unexpected Outcome
This was a battle where we tested our sword, armor, shield, magic attackers, the melee and ranged attackers, and our strategy and even did a dry run of the battle. We wanted to get everything right. But that’s where it all started and ended.
By the time the opponent arrived, he/she had a menacing demeanor. It was scary in the beginning but the dust settled soon. Too soon. The dust did not even get a chance to rise. The opponents were not there for the battle. They were out jaywalking when they came face-to-face with us. Oh, not the ending they had hoped for!
What am I talking about? 😊 Let’s head to the battle and then you can come back and read once again.
The Battle | Frowns and Angry Brows
We will take a look at the rules and then proceed to the battle.
It was a 33-mana battle where all the Splinters were allowed. The gameplay and rules were the regular ones. It was a pretty straightforward battle. The only planning required was which summoner to choose and which monsters to go along with.
Now, we proceed to the battlefield.
The Face-Off Screen
And here is the lineup.
My team is at the bottom of the screen while the opponent is at the top. I had gone with the Earth Splinter while the opponent had chosen Death Splinter. My summoner did a great job of reducing all of the opponent’s speed to 1. That meant, not many were going to attack before.
Little did I know at that point that not even one would attack.
We Battle Hard
Correction. It was only my team battling hard.
Half of the opponent’s team was gone by the beginning of round 3 but not a scratch on my team. And I would say, the opponent did not have much to go either.
Let’s see the beginning of the end.
And The Battle Races to Conclusion
The battle raced to its conclusion faster than I thought.
Beginning of round 3, it was all over for the opponent. And still, not even scratches on my team. It was an interesting and incredibly fast one despite going to round 3.
Well, I won! 😊
A Hard-Fought Battle | An Interesting Result
I think the opponent’s choice of monsters and their placement worked against him/her. In addition, my summoner taking out all their speed was the final nail in the opponent’s game plan. So, I got lucky and I don’t mind the luck.
I loved the battle. How about you? I hope you enjoyed reading about the battle too. You can also look at it live in the links provided below. Have fun! 😊
