All things considered, the ability to speak is something we should never underestimate. It gets more interesting in this world of ours where there are consequences for the things you say.

You know, I have this idea that being truthful makes people better. It makes relationships better and it makes societies a lot better.

The problem is that many people are not ready to hear the truth when it's about them or their beliefs. Some people who have gone out of their way to speak the truth about some anomalies in this modern society often get censored and witch-hunted. They get punished for speaking the truth and it sends a deep message to any other person trying to go down that road.

Little wonder why it's becoming obvious that people are now hesitant to speak freely about what they think on several subject matters.

It goes to show that there are consequences for speaking the truth. The cancel culture we see in society also adds fuel to this burning fire. People get dragged through the mud and trolled all day and night because they said something they believe to be true.

Make a guess... What do you think will be the result of this censorship?

On the superficial level, there will be so many people who would rather say something they believe to be a lie just because they want their opinion to be in alignment with public opinion. People will be too conscious to speak the truth about what they genuinely think.

Of course, this is not a trivial issue and should never be treated as such.

That's why I'm making it a talking point in this post.

It's a fact that people get burnt, literally, for speaking the truth. Do you also know that you are going to pay a price for every truth you fail to speak? I mean, people get trolled and placed on the edge of a dangling sword for saying untrue things. Yep! There are lots of consequences for saying lies.

At the very least, you wouldn't want to be known as someone who lacks the courage to say things as you see them. Just say the truth about what you think and have peace. That in itself counts as a heroic act.
