When it's time to harvest, the rice field sparrow is a particular species of bird that frequently consumes the harvested grain. The Latin name for this species of bird is lonchura leuchogastra, also called the emprit bird. Because those that come can reach hundreds or thousands of birds, this sparrow or those sparrows can consume a lot of rice grains in a short period of time. A little bird with a short, pointed beak, the sparrow is one of many varieties. Because they are close to their food source, this bird species prefers to live in plantations and rice fields. There are numerous seeds, a favorite meal of birds, in both areas.

Empty seeds, dry rice grains, and the quantity of seeds lost due to falling out are only a few of the traits of this emprit bird attack. This bird typically approaches the rice between six and ten in the morning. Between 2:00 and 4:00 in the afternoon, they frequently assault rice fields.

Although it frequently attacks plants in groups and can be challenging to manage, there are still ways to deal with these birds.

The countermeasures are implemented so that the signs of pest infestations do not worsen and cause farmers to suffer more losses. The following techniques can be used to deal with sparrows in more detail:
Using a scarecrow => A scarecrow that includes a can and plastic ropes can be set up. Several scarecrows can be erected at once.

Making a windmill => Another option is to use a windmill with a sound source to scare this bird away.

Utilizing a net = Bamboo poles can also be used to spread a net. This particular approach is one of the most efficient but also requires quite a bit of work.

Making an eagle kite => You can complete this stage by utilizing leftover plastic to construct a kite or by transforming a child's toy into an eagle.

Soaking of Jengkol => You can also use odorous jengkol soaking water. Because sparrows themselves dislike the smell, they will avoid it.
