Shadow Raiders fue una serie animada realizada por ordenador, transmitida entre los años 1998 y 1999, basado ligeramente en la línea de juguetes War Planets, creado por la compañía Trendmasters. El programa constó de dos temporadas, dando un total de 26 episodios.
La historia de la serie nos presenta un ficticio sistema solar compuesto de cuatro planetas (Roca, Hielo, Fuego y Hueso) cuyos habitantes han estado en guerra entre sí por los recursos naturales que posee cada uno.

La situación cambia cuando la princesa Tekla, originaria del planeta Tek, un planeta ubicado en otro sistema solar, advierte a los líderes de Roca, Hielo, Fuego y Hueso, de la amenaza del planeta Bestia, un mundo basado en la tecnología y capaz de desplazarse a cualquier parte del Espacio, consumiendo otros planetas hasta destruir toda la vida existente en ellos.
Los lideres Roca, Hielo, Fuego y Hueso deberán dejar a un lado sus diferencias para luchar contra la amenaza del planeta Bestia, antes de que sus mundos sean consumidos.

Shadow Raiders es una historia original dentro de su género, ya que muestra como pueblos tan opuestos entre sí, logran unirse contra una amenaza en común y reconocer que no son tan distintos como creían Cada cultura es única y diferente, con sus fortalezas y debilidades, siendo sus dirigentes una forma de conocerlas.
Los personajes son únicos, con una mentalidad propia que refleja el carácter de cada uno de los pueblos que lucha contra los Bestia. A parte de luchar contra un enemigo poderoso, los protagonistas tendrán que lidiar con los recelos, traiciones e intereses personales de sus líderes, elementos que conspiran contra el éxito de la consolidar una alianza verdadera.

El programa tiene una historia consistente, sencilla, coherente con el conflicto que plantea y logra resolver los enigmas que plantea desde el inicio, acompañado de una excelente banda sonora y una animación imaginativa para su época.
