How do you control such things without a downvote button?

The problem with Downvote buttons is downvote abuse.

Downvote Wars. Flag Wars. Downvotes for kicks. Bullying of minnows ….

You have people like Steemwatchers, Hivewatchers, cheetah, Jaguarforce , etc etc … Angry whales with lots and lots of power who just don’t like your face or hair style …. downvoting people for no reason at all.

Downvoting everything to zero on Day 7.

I think Blurt has an opportunity and the brain power and innovative spirit to come up with a solution to spam, scams and identity theft ( stolen content)

It’s so bloody easy for people to add a simple Source link if they borrow an image or text.

Just add the “>” in front of the text to indent the Quote and include a Source Link for the borrowed Text.
