The issue with images these days, maybe not at the time, is they are so easily edited I don't trust anything I am seeing.
With the lunar lander and dune buggy reference, I would assume that the buggy came dis-assembled like an army Jeep, but aside from that general theory I have always just seen space to be like a giant sandbox and never sensationalized the idea of what is above or below myself in the 3D space we live in.
If they did or didn't go to the moon, what objective reality would each of those situations present us with?

Ok , let's give it a try , let's have some fun .
First , if they did or did not ? ,.. for sure i don't know , as history exist's only in our imagination . I can only question both options , look for motives and try to find logic . The why this , why that , focused down to simple fact's and assumptions made on some form of logic .
So if not , why the whole show ? the space-race with the USSR ? ,. like lol , com'n we know by now all is controlled by the same hand .
History before alleged moon landings , operation Long-jump explored the antarctic , without addressing any details , this military expedition was looking for resources ,. to profit from . At the same time operation Horizon was proposed and started , a military base on the moon .
It was Kennedy who stopped Horizon and gave way for NASA , a civilian organization . Project Horizon became NASA , it just changed the objectives a bit . There was a mindset that promised a abundance of resources on the moon ,.. until they found out ,.. it's just a empty cold rock .
How they found out ? ,... i can't tell for sure , but the thing is , the interest in the moon died very fast after that alleged first visit .

it's simple, they create a phoney cause to raise money and deflect attention. Nasa has pots of money now all funded by tax payers because they provide the entertainment. Also it gives us more cover stories of the globe earth model and diverts from antarctica (nice that you linked the two together) which FE's claim hides more land beyond which 'they' don't want us knowing about. It keeps us confined to one area of a much larger realm than we've been told.
Now don't tell me that they used that money to build a secret base on the moon . ;-)
