Good news from Korea..

South Korea's Silicon Valley continues to be passionate about blockchain technology.

Seongnam, South Korea's premier satellite city, is preparing to expand its existing blockchain payment program by issuing new digital gift certificates.

Local media outlets say three types of digital gift certificates, representing cash, check cards, and mobile cards, can be used at 45,000 card stores in the city.

Moreover, KEB Hana Bank, one of South Korea's largest commercial banks, reached an agreement with state-owned highway operator Korea Expressway Corporation on August 9 to provide blockchain-based toll payments to national highways.
