Last Sunday was another wonderful day that we put another step forward. We were checking for furniture for two months and finally, we finalized our decision on furniture. I will keep them to share later and today's story is about our visit to Sofa Store.
We found a sofa store via Facebook. It is normal when you search for something on Facebook it always suggests similar things along the wall. Similarly, we found their page. We had a need of buying an L sofa for the TV lobby which we can sit with comfort. We checked several pages to get quotations and Sofa Store was one of them. They had plenty of good reviews and the works also looked very good. We had an idea to visit them and check them and after that put an order.
Sunday we went to Colombo for some other work and as we had enough time we checked the distance to their workshop. Their workshop is located in Ingiriya and it showed travel of 1h from Moratuwa. It was about 12p.m but we decided to begin our journey.
As we hadn't had our lunch yet the first thing we purchased was a box of rice from a restaurant and kept it to eat later. Then we started our journey. Eventhough I thought it is an easy trip, we had to go a long way. We went in the direction of Horana.
After about 30 min of visit, we stopped near a paddy field and had lunch inside the car. We could finish a big meal easily because both of us were very hungry.
On the way, we passed several large factories including squicks. I think this is the first time I'm visiting this way. Finally, we reached Ingiriya. It was almost 3.15 when we reach there. Still, we had to go along a small road that had a very nice natural view. Actually were nervous we got lost or we are going to the wrong place. But once we are there everything turned into a positive vibe.
Actually, the shop is run by a couple who are very young. They had some samples at their house and we were allowed to sit and check. The most difficult part was selecting colors. We had colors in our minds but the fabric didn't fit. Actually, they had a good variety of fabrics but the color we had in our mind wasn't there. So they helped us to pick colors.
Once the order was placed we turned back and it was almost late! I think it's about 6.30 p.m when I come back home. But this experience is another satisfying memory we had together.
