First Skyscraper in The World

At a certain point in time, the greatest engineers and the money behind them wanted to touch the sky. This would birth various skyscrapers.

Architect Major William Le Baron Kenney pioneered the concept of the skyscraper and this initial load-bearing structural frame has been a pivotal piece of construction greatness, paving the way for countless others in the future.

The first skyscraper was the Home Insurance Building, erected in 1885 in Chicago, Illinois. It was 55m and this also shows how far modern engineering has come as modern buildings eclipse this greatly now.
