Not all sharks are bound to take a chomp out of your limbs. The docile nature of nurse sharks has established a reputation that is approachable and safe among swimmers.
Nurse sharks are usually bottom dwellers but it does not mean they are without defence, they have many miniscule yet strong teeth. Coupled with a robust jaw, they are capable of snapping back.
Despite this, nurse sharks are relatively save to swim with and even touch.
