It's been a week (10 days actually) since I started participating in the Seven Days Color Splash Challenge which was an enjoyable experience. For today, I wanted to compile in a single post the series of photos as a result of this 1st week of contributing to the tag.
It's been an interesting journey of learning a new kind of photo editing technique (at least for me).
Day 1
It was the first time for me to use Fotor.com and so I selected a photo that will allow me easily cut-out the main subject from its background. An enlarged view of a flower is perfect for this case.
Day 2
Same as my first attempt, I was just looking for an appropriate photo for this kind of editing style. I found this on my archive and it actually looks good as edit it for color splash effect.
Day 3
On this image, I tried to utilize a photo that's more complicated among the first 2 entries. Since brushing is the way to trace the colored part of the image, it's a lot harder for images where there are tight spaces in between
Day 4
For this image, I'm already playing around with images with popping colors & texture well-detailed textures.
Day 5
For this image, I'm having a lot of fun creating a color splash image with an interesting appeal. Emoji dolls are making this photo more relatable.
Day 6
Here's another attempt to explore the combination of hues & textures. I have also enhanced colors by increasing the vibrance of each hue present in this image.
Day 7
For my final entry, I skipped about 2 days before completing this entry. I was too busy during these holidays and was forced to focus on my work in my personal business.
In this photography challenge, I really enjoyed learning another way to edit photos. Most of the time, I'm only editing in Black & White or Colored versions. The color splash editing technique has given me the idea to merge both BNW & color on the same image.
It's interesting enough that I would continue this photo challenge for the following week.
