Every april, I immerse myself in a profound process of self-understanding. I go back on my life's achievements and take a close look at myself. My thoughts frequently revolve on how I may better my life and the lives of people around me. I simply like it that way. That reveals fresh aspects of my identity to me. Over the past year, I've come to realize that, contrary to my previous belief, I actually care what other individuals think of me. What individuals think of me matters to me more than you can possible know, despite my years-long denial to myself.

Though I often follow my own set of rules and accomplish things my way, there has always been a tiny part of me that wants to fit in and be just like everyone else. That's a crazy idea, isn't it? It's never been my strong suit to blend in. I think that in order to be accepted by others, I have to prove my worth. Perhaps people find me off-putting because I am a really straightforward person. I am a difficult person to change, and I typically don't follow trends and instead stick to my own beliefs.

When I'm nervous about something, I usually retreat. I'm a loner who finds it difficult to form friends because I don't want to let people down. Perhaps that's just the way I was brought up. When we are young, we have these hopes, but we never know how life will turn out. Most of the lessons we acquire in life come from the observations of our friends, family, and teachers. They support the growth of each of us personally.

We have unrestricted freedom to travel the world and live after we reach maturity. As we start leading increasingly emotionally charged lives, the true stuff starts to show. Due to the abundance of external stimuli and our inability to always know what is right to do, we feel confused. How much easier would things have been if there had just been a few rules to follow! How can you know when something feels right for you?

A common desire is to be like someone else. They want to be just like their idol, thus they would stop at nothing to achieve the same level of achievement. Why is it that you feel you have to be like someone else? I barely have time to try being someone else since I find it so hard to be myself. A decision is all we have in life. Life is a fantastic journey filled with learning experiences. Do not attempt to impersonate anyone else. Please be who you are. Although it might be difficult at times, making errors is a necessary part of life and the only way you can improve.
