I’m thinking of investing in Scotch Whiskey

in scotch •  4 years ago

I tried to order a bottle of 12 year old Macallan Scotch Whiskey last week and I am still waiting for them to find a bottle here in Canada.

The one I wanted to buy is only $75 and It is very good Scotch.

When I was on the Website today checking on the status of my order I saw a few other older bottles for sale.

This one is a 30 year old Bottle and sells for .... $4,000.75

Yikes.

I think if I ever get my order filled I will not drink it but rather hodl onto it for a few years.... like maybe 20.

Whisky is a good alternative for investing. I put a few cases in my cellar a few years ago, along with gin and rum. Soon I will test if they are still good or exchange when everything becomes more expensive, in food 😋😂

I always end up drinking my liquid investments. I have tried many times.

Top tier content as always. I'm sipping on a 9 year old bourbon at the moment.

You better hodl for 10 years. 75$ may turn into 7500$.

From noise blurt chamber.

It's a great investment, but I wouldn't have the willpower to keep good whiskey for long :)

I have tried to invest in Scotch before ... and I drank them all.

Oh geeze that's an expensive bottle!

It’s all relative .... if you have a few hundred Bitcoin, then $4,000 is not much.
