AI could accompany astronauts into space

Artifical intelligence could accompany astronauts into the deepest regions of space.

It's lonely and isolated in space, and astronauts may be accompanied into deep space on their missions by an AI computer. This is similar to HAL from the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey. I think it makes sense to add an AI and it could help out the crew if they need technical or social stimulation.

AI is taking more roles, and a social support worker is just another example of how helpful it could become.
