কোয়ালা

ইউক্যালিপ্টাসের পাতা বিষাক্ত হওয়ায় কোনো প্রানী ইউক্যালিপ্টাসের পাতা খেতে পারে না।
একমাত্র কোয়ালাই এর ব্যতিক্রম যারা ইউক্যালিপ্টাসের পাতা খেয়ে বাঁচে। এদের শরীর ইউক্যালিপ্টাসের পাতা হতে টক্সিন পৃথক করার মত অভিযোজিত হয়েছে। মজার বিষয় হলো, কোয়ালা শুধু গাছ হতেই ইউক্যালিপ্টাসের পাতা ছিঁড়ে খেতে পারে। এরা এতই হাবা-গোবা যে, পাতা ছিঁড়ে প্লেটে সাজিয়ে দিলে তারা সেটাকে খাবার হিসেবে শনাক্ত করতে পারে না এবং না খেয়ে মরা যায়।

Eucalyptus leaves are poisonous so no animal can eat eucalyptus leaves.
The only exceptions are koalas who live on eucalyptus leaves. Their bodies are adapted to separate toxins from eucalyptus leaves. Interestingly, koalas can only eat eucalyptus leaves from trees. They are so stupid that if they tear off a leaf and arrange it on a plate, they will not be able to recognize it as food and will die without eating it.
