"Random Warzone Thoughts"
SSgt "Grin" Greinailko: "Hey man, why you look so worried? I triple checked our gear. Everything is SAT. Perimeter sensors show no bad guys for at least 100 clicks. Our target enters the kill zone in a couple hours and then it's a quick engage, execute and extraction. Easy-peasy, another successful op under our belts."
GSgt "JC" Suankhularb: "Huh? What? Oh, it's not that. I know we're ready to Rock-n-Roll."
Grin: "Then why have you had 'THAT' look ever since we got here."
JC: "WTF are you talking about? What the Hell is 'THAT' look?
Grin: "When something's bothering you, you always get 'That' half-angry, half-worried look; kinda like those models from the 21st century fashion magazine I saw in the archives. I think it's called GQ?"
JC: "No way! Those GQ guys were ridiculous. Their trademark "Back to the camera, hands on hips, look over the shoulder, clench both butt cheeks and do the pouty, pouty" pose was just plain wrong - on so many levels. It made them look stupid, confused and constipated."
Grin: "Don't try to change the subject. And let's forget about 'That' look for now. What's really eatin' at you?"
[JC pauses and 'That' look slowly spreads across his face. After a few moments, he decides to confess.]
JC: "Well...uh. Shit! Seen' as though you ain't gon'na let this go, I might as well tell ya."
Grin: "Ok. Any f*ckin' millennia now?"
JC: "Alright, alright! Sht! If you must know...I, uhm. Well ya see, err...
[Deep breath ] I-left-the-iron-on-top-of-the-ironing-board- and-I'm-not-sure-if-I-unplugged-it-or-not![ Big exhale] There! You fckin' satisfied now, Dr. Phil?"
Grin: "Who the f*ck is Dr. Phil?"
