Should SBD Be "Stablecoin" Too Like HBD?

The chart above is a comparison between the prices of the USDT stablecoin and the HBD “stablecoin” plotted over the last one month.

We can see that when the USDT price really stabilized at $1 USD, the HBD price fluctuated significantly between $0.9 - $1.

From a stability point of view, it seems clear that investors will choose USDT which is really stable.

For HBD to be able to attract the hearts of investors, it seems like a pretty tough homework considering its performance so far.

Meanwhile on the other hand, HBD is the main currency used by the Hive platform to pay rewards to writers and curators.

But by making HBD a stablecoin it means fixing the price of HBD at a maximum of $1 only.

This is the same as fixing the maximum income of writers and curators at the value of that HBD.

Whereas experience before the stablecoin period, shows that the price of HBD tends to rise high, thus benefiting writers and curators.

So, what about SBD? Does it need to be a "stablecoin" too like HBD?

I think the choice of the writers and curators is clear.. 😁
