Save Soil Movement of Sadhguru

in savesoil •  3 years ago

Yesterday I attended the Sadhguru #Savesoil movement. Sadhguru has been travelling around the world campaigning for save soil. It was quite an eye opener event. It is a 100 days mission for him covering 30 Cities and 30000 Kms. Yesterday it was the 66th Day in Oman and from here on he will travel to India and will be covering places in India. He has been travelling for this event all across on his Motor Bike non stop. That's quite a thing for his age.

At one point of time I was a die hard fan of Sadhguru but later on my thoughts changed about his with certain experiences. Anyways I do still support this movement of his. It was also my dream to see him live once, that got fulfilled yesterday. The event was held at the Oman Convention center and the place was packed. There were more than 5000 people who attended the event. Luckily I got some VIP passes and I managed to get a seat on the 8th row, which was very close to the stage and I had a good clear view of Sadhguru.

He spoke about how our Soil is a living thing and how it is getting extinct with time, which is a fact. Surveys in different countries have shown how the nutrient level of our soil is depleting and if we do not take corrective actions today probably in the next 40 to 45 years our soil will become lifeless. We will have only barren lands all around with nothing that could be grown on them.
He spoke about one things which we all have to ponder on. 3 to 4 decades back a farmer in India would harvest a crop 3 to 4 times in a year on the same piece of land, but in today's time there is barely one harvest that happens in a year, which clearly shows how the life in the soil has been eroded.

He has been speaking with Governments of all Countries to act on this very serious issue. These are not actions of few groups of volunteers. This is a global issue where every single Country will have to rise up and take action.

In Middle East if you travel, you will find that there is a lot of beautification done by planting trees and making gardens. The fact is that none of these trees grow here, they are all uprooted from somewhere and then planted in these regions. He spoke about this, that while one place we are trying to beautify the other we are destroying unless we do not plant another tree there.

If we start taking some action today then in the next 10 to 15 years we will see the reversals of good condition of our soil, but if we do not take any action now and suddenly after 15 to 20 years if we wake up to this situation then probably it would be too late to make any reversals.

I felt my heart connecting strongly with this mission and I will join the movement and contribute whatever I can. I would also urge every single person to put a thought on this and work towards it. We all have the capability of bringing this change, unless we start thinking what can I do, I have no power to this.

There were some cultural dance performance also in the event, which were beautiful and brought back beautiful memories of back home.

My mission starts with immediate effect

He always carried his chair wherever he goes, no matter which part of the world he is in, he only sits on his own chair during shows and events.

When the Cultural performances were going on, he came and sat in the audience. He was 3 rows ahead.

The cultural performances were very stunning. Loved all the acts, they were sharp and graceful.

With 5000+ people attending this event the organizers did a fabulous job right from managing the traffic to parking and getting people to their seats. Kuddos to the whole team for such great efforts.

Fabulous. This is a fabulous event. I used this opportunity to open a new tab and read a few stuff about Sadhguru. What a man!

This 'Save Soil' movement is a nice idea. We all need to contributorily make effort to build a good future.

Yes, he is a global influencer and some of his talks are very motivational. Thank you
