I still didn't change my mind about sanctions against Russia.

I'll say it again, they are not against politicians, but against simple citizens like me.

But, why to play that game. Like pay your dept, then, but I'll sanction you, so you will not be able to use dollar, but they say that they will pay in roubles, so the rouble grow in the price, became even more solid than before the war. The world is in troubles, crisis and everything and all the blame is on Russia.

Any logic behind that ?

The only logic for me, is that US and sanctions are helping Russia to make the rouble more solid. To isolate Russia, and even Russian politicians are closing access to many websites, the same about many services that are not providing services to Russia. So, people will use Russian services and that's again helping Russian economics.

Also, the goods that are under sanctions for Russia push people here to buy products in Russia. That make the local economy even stronger.

Again, all the information is to rise patriotism in Russia, people will buy mostly Russian products.

Knowing that there are many investors from Europe and US in many Russian companies make me think that sanctions are helping Russia.

So, if someone is helping Russia and Russia is doing bad, that means those who are helping Russia are also doing bad ? lol

What the hell ?

Am I mistaken somewhere ?

You tell me. ☺

This is a good example and a good question to bring a different perspective to sanctions.

It may also think that it is a successful administration in eliminating the sanctions against Russia. If those who impose the sanctions do not knowingly or unknowingly help Russia; The option I mentioned seems more plausible.

In other words, if America, NATO and Europe are not doing good intentions, it can be seen as the success of the Russian administration!

It'a a game my friend. They are both playing with the mind of the population.

This is what we agree on.

I just think that protecting the value of the local currency in one way or another will reduce the number of people who are negatively affected by the events, because we learn by experience what the depreciation of the local currency causes.

Despite the local currency being more solid now, the prices are higher. Almost doubled after the war. So, protecting the value of the local currency is not to help citizens, trust me. lol Why I need solid currency if I can't buy what I want. lol

I understand. The opposite happened here during the economic sanctions. As the value of the local currency could not be maintained, both prices rose and purchasing power fell. The value of immovable property was also lost.

This is a comparison based on what we've been through.

I should have bought way more roubles. Back at .008

Oh well… this is exactly why you always buy the dip.

Yeah, I also did a mistake when not selling dollar when it costed about 140 rouble. Now it's 50. Not profitable to sell it.
