How to build your ultimate life on the adrenaline rush that is rollercoasters. When you want to experience the thrill of riding the ultimate ride in your life, then you must know where to go. Everywhere. Everywhere. For everything.
I wrote this post to help aspiring entrepreneurs understand how to create their ultimate life so that they have something fun and worthwhile to do every single day.
But first, we'll talk about what makes a life worth living.
STEP 1: Get Clear On What Makes A Life Worth Living
What do you want your life to look like when you're 50 years old? Do you want to be retired by then? Do you want a family? A successful business?
Your answer to this question tells you what kind of life you want, which is the foundation for what makes a life worth living.
I recommend you pick one word to describe your ideal future, and then start brainstorming all the different activities you could do with this word.
If you love cooking, maybe you want to be an amazing chef in your future. Or maybe you just enjoy baking bread, and that would be enough. But the important thing is to write down the activities you think you could be doing to enjoy this particular word, not what you would actually want to do.
For instance, I used "cook" because that's the word I really love. But I also love traveling, so I might write "travel".
Then, go through each of your words and list the places that you can travel to, or that can teach you about life. Maybe you can do that job now, or maybe it will take you a few years of working hard to accomplish. That's OK. Don't worry about whether or not you can do it now. Just write down every place you can travel to with your ideal life.
STEP 2: Pick Your Destination
Next, pick the destinations you want to visit, the ones that inspire you the most. This is the fun part.
What is something that makes you feel really alive right now?
If you already know your answer, then tell me... but if not, let me give you a little hint.
This question has a funny name.
Think of it as a secret code. When you're done reading this post, send me a note letting me know what that secret code word was. I'll publish that answer right here on my blog!
And since you're sending me an email, you can tell me if your goal is to work less, live more, be a better entrepreneur, etc.
Now that you know your destination, start picking your best experiences to make it happen.
For instance, if your destination is cooking, what is one thing that inspires you right now? Is it going to the grocery store? Making meals for your family? Reading cookbooks and watching shows? Write down what that experience is. You don't have to get it perfectly right. Just try to remember the feeling it gives you.
