For this game I may not follow the usual pattern I follow but if you are fan of strategy and also card games this game is strongly recommended
Basically it's game you summon monsters and use spell and trap cards and special monster summon cards.

In this case am considering the features of the yu gi oh game style in general and not how this game distinguishes from the rest because I've only played 2 yu gi oh games with slightly varying rules like how the original game. Starts with a 4000 life points will 5Ds 8000 and also the number of spaces to use.
But the general thing that distinguishes this card games are it's vasatility. Now back to this game.
It features hundreds of cards with unique effects and that you can create a deck with. Really every person you battle on the streets in the game don't feel the same.

Although I just mentioned it above but having unique people to battle and even if you win now there is a high chance you can loose the next game . Well if you've seen their deck you can always adjust your deck if you have the cards to which is will make sure you have higher chance to win. As some decks can be a disadvantage to some. However the characters also have the capacity to upgrade their decks as well if along the course of the game and it's going to be lot challenging than it was.
The game features a friendship system that really makes it unique😅 . Coz someone can eat pissed off with you or like you and you can buy them present or give them food. If you get them they don't like they get pissed off. You need to win their hearts so they can open up to you and tag battle in order for you to play their story.
It has a tag team battle too. And of course a daily calenders. Another thing is you can change your expression as well.
And this game also features XYZ cards special summons
It has so many more features when compared to the previous titleslike addition of new cards but this is the few I will mention.

I guess most of the gameplay has been stated in the features.
How the game goes is you wake up in the morning and decide who heck you want to partner up and win battles with. Sometimes they can be stubborn, you just need to beat them to show them you are stronger than them then will agree to team up
Meanwhile some don't agree but surely the next day or so with a bribery of gift you can get them to team up with you.
So how you progress is to fill the heart bar of people you meet. If you do, they will come and ask you the next day to tag battle with them, at the end of the day you will then help them face a in a way boss battle in relation to them. So end up being their hero. And learn alot about them and their story. Once you have played this with a couple characters it will reveal a person you are searching in order to progress through the main story.
When you tag for a side story it's best to adjust your decks to complement each other's else sometimes you will end up conflicting in strategy. This idea helps you explore different decks set up in order to create synchronicity.
If you like you can just choose to just challenge someone you feel like fighting.
To get new cards, sometimes it can be given as a gift, picked up from the ground or bought as a pack in the story. Earn money by battling and buy new card packs to build stronger decks or decks based on specific strategies.
The key point is to get your strategy and build a deck that Will carry it on.
The game has a lot of rules but it's not so hard to learn. As most of the cards explain the their effects and the Interface system will help keep you up to date.
I learnt how to play this game while having almost no idea about how the game is played in the anime or life battles. So its learnable an gives plenty of room to learn and explore and not feel a sense of repeating actions because even battling thesame person 5 times doesn't really feel the same not to talk of when they upgrade mostly after their side story completion.
