Obscure II (known in North America as Obscure: The Aftermath) is a survival horror video game developed by Hydravision Entertainment and published by Playlogic in PAL regions and Ignition in North America for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 2 and Wii. It is the sequel to the 2004 video game Obscure. A PlayStation Portable version was released in 2009.[1] The game was later released on Steam in 2014.

Well for a mystery game it does allow you to move around with more than one playable character each with their strengths and weaknesses.
Puzzles can be quite brain testing as to some actions have to be done to trigger the solutions and it tests ones keen sense of observation. Just like that Pillar room or my goodness that was a crazy puzzle who new one could just..... to observe to locate the password.
Great heart felt moments that really made it feel like a survival game
Also quite some basic weapons, you are not going to get crazy things like machine guns of different types😅 but whacking the monsters with a bat doesn't seem to get old or shutting with a simple gun. The weapons you will obtain are fair to keep you in tune with the story and concept while still not finding difficulty handling enemies.
Scenery and environmental designs were good and it may not be open world but there are some degree of freedom to explore some areas.

Overall the game play is good, also you mostly move in pairs so they keep the conversation going. The game play is basically solve mysteries, kill monsters overcome obstacles and get scared. It gives a fair distance between enemy waves and mystery solving. The checkpoints are also not bad with their placements. You really wont feel a sense of repeatation like all chapters or feels like same actions, it always have something new for you to do. Its a great game to pick up and will surely fill your taste for a horror game.

The story is set two years after the "Leafmore Incident" (the events of the first Obscure); The Leafmore incident has been somehow covered-up. Shannon and Kenny are now enrolled in the nearby Fallcreek University, while Stan is reforming his life as a delivery truck driver. Stan and Kenny have to take medication to prevent the effects of the plant from infecting their bodies, while Shannon has been able to adapt to the changes.
As the story begins, a new drug created from a strange flower is quickly spreading its influence over the University's populace. Soon enough, a small group of students, along with the Leafmore High survivors have to face a horde of mutants and try to stay alive.
The spores spread through the whole city and later the whole country. The outbreak starts in a fraternity party of the ΔΘГ brotherhood. Amy and Kenny are the first ones to arrive, only to find the place infected when they get inside. The students then meet a scientist, Richard James, who is the biology teacher of the university, who aids the player several times. After some time, the group is joined by Corey and Mei who try to escape.
