The Republic Day of India is a day that holds great significance in the hearts of every Indian. It marks the adoption of the Indian Constitution and the transition of India from a British colony to a republic.
As always, the parade was a grand spectacle with the participation of the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force, displaying their might and cultural heritage. You can watch the parade below.
As I watched the parade, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and gratitude for our soldiers who risk their lives to protect our nation. Their discipline and dedication is truly admirable and serves as a reminder of their selfless service.
After the parade, I enjoyed a hearty breakfast and then later in the day, some relatives came over to visit my grandmother who is not well. She's over 70 years old and has been facing difficulty walking. My relatives keep visiting her to motivate and cheer her up. I was happy to see that their presence brought a smile to her face.
In the evening, we cooked and enjoyed a Delhi street food called Ram Laddu. It was a delicious and satisfying meal for everyone as you can see below.
However, there was a sad part to the day as well. I had a small accident and got hurt on my face. I applied some cream for pain relief and hope to feel better soon. Despite the accident, I'm grateful for the beautiful memories made with my family and the delicious food we shared.
As I reflect on the day's events, I am reminded of the importance of family, tradition, and the sacrifices made by our soldiers. I am proud to be an Indian and look forward to many more Republic Day celebrations.
Happy Republic Day.
