Religion is a scam
Even Jesus during his earthly walk termed religious clerics who walk around in robes and cloaks to be hypocrites, people who did what they had in their minds but did not understand exactly what the word of God was.
They played on the people's ignorance and continue to increase their accolades in the market and the streets only by their hypocrisy in knowing the things of God but not doing them.
I can say the same for the edifice that we have built up even our current day religion today.
Religion has become the greatest epitome of idolatory, worshipped in the place of God
How did we get here?
We as Africans believed in many dieties before the introduction of the so-called religion. It was taught to us to abscond ours and focus on the one true God and to serve him with all our might and even join the forces to convince our fellow Africans to believe.
However it was nothing short of a business plan to spread a culture of a particular people across the whole earth. "Christianity” was a culture that was handed over to us and not a religion as we supposed it to be.
People behaved like Christ and hence the term, it was created by man from his observation of the character of people who walked with Christ.
I m not versed on how other religions were coined.
Religion is really a collection of activities routines and rights done in the worship of a God and not itself a god. But we are have been shown to fear the rights and routines more than the God itself..
We chose not to heal a blind man because it is Sunday, we chose to rather let the hungry die out their hunger because they have to pay their tithe, which is to exalt the law above the love that God teaches us to express.
Which is to be done, stay on the side of religion or the power of God above every religion.
It is man tendency to always want to take ratio of the glory, and so since religion causes some form of power and authority, it tends that whoever spearheaded it such a man's name is to be very very powerful. Hence it doesn't take too long before the focus of worship is changed from who God is to what that man can do.
For this sake God's wrath is always on leaders, especially those who misdirect his people. It is God who punishes such people and not for us to judge them, but for us to make our own study and discovery of God.
There are definitely people who God has sent to help us in finding him and understanding our life and our purpose through him. Those who have not paddled their cloak in the ointment of religion, who have not blindfolded their people with a lie.
GOD'S PLAN
So you see religion in itself is an enemy to the real plan that God has in relating with his people.
Religion is a limitation for people to think that they themselves can access God by themselves without an intermediary of any man outside the intermediary that God himself has provided which I am fortunate to believe in, Jesus Christ.
This breaks every yoke of religionISM and also removes every form of limitation for man to assess God.
The truth is religion believes there is a God, but religion begins to give certain requirements to fulfill before man can really see God, but the only requirement that god really gives to see him is to believe that he is a rewarder of people who diligently seek him (Heb 11:6). But religion blocks that way and point the accusing finger to everyone who struggles, than show them the way to the Father.
These are a few of my thoughts on religion and I would love that everyone could read this and get the right understanding I hope to pass through it.
There is a God in heaven and he is concerned about everyone. It doesn't matter how you believe you can access him, he is concerned about you. And this is why he has made a way for all to come to him.
Jesus came tearing down every wall that religion has built, and at his death, the thick curtain wall that divided the outrr part of the temple to the inner part of the temple was torn. This gave everyone access to the inner temple, not just your pastors, everyone had access to the deep things of God.
A MIRROR'S REFLECTION
In the world we live in so many people have turned their back on religion and already chosen to see God the very hard to be understood. They have believed that religion as I see it and they still find it hard to find peace with God.
They will struggle with life and consequences of sin and keep blaming God for the difficult life that they face, they often blame all the believers in all the religions for the lies that they tell.
I would encourage such folks to look deeper and search and see just what God says in his word. A honest prayer and an intensive reading to find God in the Bible by yourself would suffice rather than struggle aimlessly to meander true life's turnings.
Consider the love of God above everything else, consider he has reached out in the salvation of mankind, see his wealth in creation and sustenance of the universe, consider his power in the deliverance of his people.
Being a believer in God I must say it's not as simple but it involves gathering more and more believer to see that's God is not so hard to find. Everyone who seek diligently with all their hearts we will find him. When you have found him, you must treasure and keep that relationship, because that is what must replace the religion of our day.
The fellowship of the Father with his people. This is what the apostle Paul describes in the Grace that we share. 2 Cor 13:14.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and The fellowship of the Holy ghost, be with you all. Amen.
