Last September, City Central Elementary School celebrated Science Month. One of the highlights for the said event was the ECO Rampa. It is where participating pupils and students from different levels wore recycled costume and joined the parade around the school campus wearing their masterpiece made of recycled materials.
These are my grade two pupils wearing different styles and designs made from different recyclable materials. Some used news papers and magazines, bottle cups, trash bags and eco bags, egg trays, empty boxes, cans and plastic bottles.
The school administrators were the judges for said competition. They experienced hardship in choosing winners. Luckily, one of my pupils was choosen as the winner for grade two level. His costume was something like an angel warrior. His wings was made of empty box covered with bottles cups.
This transformer costume captured the eyesight of everybody. It is made of empty boxes formed like a car in which each parts was attached to the pupil's body and as he goes down it will form like a car.
The entire activity was a successful one. Leaving a message that recycling is one way of caring the environment.
