The word press refers to the media organizations which includes the newspapers magazines, radio stations, television networks, online platforms etc. Those all mediums collect the information and report news. They all play a crucial role in democracy and known as one of the pillar of democracy. They are suppose to provide the independent, reliable news coverage and to ensure the free flow of information.
Now days we have many sources to get the updates on any subject or particular news. Internet has removed the boundaries and provide the information in real time and anytime. In old days their were only a few sources were available like radio and print media. I think from print media the name Press comes. Here the press means the printing press where the mews paper are get printed.
As I mentioned in past the press or printing media was main source of the information and mews around us. It also known as the voice of people. It give platform for the people's who believe to express their views without any fear and ready to release information to public at any cost. The free speech and media are two terms but ther are related to each other. The media is of no use to public if it does not gave the free of free speech. There the free speech does not means to be accused anyone without proof. It means that the people are ready to listen to tge positive and negative aspects. They are ready to get appreciate as wall are get discrimination. Think of a world where the press is media publish the selected news by government, do you think it will give the true image of the facts and activities happening around us.
Unfortunately in most of the cases the press is become the business instead of presenting the true they are inclined towards some specific groups or community for their own interest. The press, which was the source of information and true facts become the puppets of government or some influencer peoples. The situations is so worst in some places that if someone try to speak ageist the government, he get trapped by any means, most indirect manner. Its very clear that the developers of country is also depends on the freedom to the people of county as the right to free speech.
